Keystone Tasmania, through its promotional activities and funding programs, supports and encourages diversity in the industry.

Diversity Program Funding

The Keystone Tasmania Diversity Program provides support to activities promoting diversity in the building and construction industry.

In 2021, grants of up to $2,000 are available to organisations to assist with the cost of staging events that are aimed at positively promoting the benefits of engaging and providing career opportunities to employees from diverse backgrounds.   

To apply, please forward to Keystone, under your letterhead, details of the planned event including objectives of the event, date, venue, target audience, budget and other funding or in-kind support.   

Migrant Resource Centre Pilot Project 2021

In 2021 Keystone will provide funding to the Migrant Resource Centre to facilitate a pilot project that supports the diversification of the Building and Construction Industry through providing incentives and evidence based supports to employees from a multicultural background and their employers.

This will be undertaken via:

1. Consultation with employers, potential participants and Industry Associations to inform program design.
2. Multicultural Scholarship Program incentives delivered. Incentives will support a total of 2 to 4 employees. Incentives may be paid to employer or employees.
3. Cultural Awareness Training or supports appropriate to Employers, Apprenticeship Network Providers and/or Industry Associations developed.
4. Resources and information developed to support the recruitment, retention and completion of training, apprenticeships and/or employment.
